The foodjuggling feature implements a method often used manually to conserve food on Age 2 servers. If food is available in a city it will be consumed by the troops in that city. In fact, if food runs out, food in other cities will be consumed as well. However, food that is reinforcing a valley or in transit is not consumed. So, when food is not needed in the city, it can be sent in transports to a nearby valley. The problems with this approach are the long delays in hiding/recalling food and that the food is vulnerable to attack while parked in the valley.
